Tom Woodring

Tom Woodring is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, and enterprise architecture. Currently serving as VP of IT Infrastructure at The Guitar Center Company since April 2025, Woodring previously held significant roles including Senior Director of Developer Experience & Cloud Engineering at Blue Shield of California and Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture & Core Infrastructure at Hudson's Bay Company. Tom's earlier positions at New York University included Director of Enterprise Technology Strategy & Architecture and Program Director of Technology Infrastructure Global Services. Woodring's career began in network engineering and administration, with roles at M5 Networks, Epana Networks, Globix Corporation, and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Woodring holds an MBA in Strategy and Management of Technology & Operations from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Philosophy from Skidmore College.
