Soumen Mukherjee

Soumen Mukherjee has extensive experience in research and development within the chemical industry, currently serving as General Manager-R&D at Gulbrandsen since September 2011, focusing on the commercialization of high-value products and troubleshooting plant operations. Prior roles include Deputy General Manager-R&D, where responsibilities encompassed new product development for catalysts, polymers, and biocides, along with significant contributions at Reliance Industries Limited from 2006 to August 2011, particularly in developing catalysts for 1-Hexene production. Mukherjee's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Max Planck Institute and Universitat Paderborn, and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, complemented by a postdoctoral position at the University of Delaware.
