Jenga Mwendo

Jenga Mwendo is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in project management, community organization, and sustainable real estate development. Currently serving as Project Manager and Project Analyst at Gulf Coast Housing Partnership, Inc. since January 2020, Jenga has previously held significant roles such as Deputy Director at Crescent City Community Land Trust, where responsibilities included overseeing residential and commercial real estate projects. As the Founder and Director of Backyard Gardeners Network, Jenga established a community-focused organization aimed at enhancing local programming. Additional experience includes roles as Community Organizer at Tulane City Center and Food Security Coordinator at the Lower 9th Ward Center for Sustainability and Engagement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts.
