Gulf Coast Medical Center is a general acute care community hospital located in Wharton, TX. Gulf Coast is licensed for 159 beds, which includes 60 mental health beds for both Adult and Geriatric Behavioral Health. GCMC provides a full spectrum of medical and surgical acute care services, including a level 4 trauma certified Emergency Department. Our Behavioral Health Services include a 43-bed Adult Psych unit, 17-bed Gero-Psych unit, and a Partial Hospitalization Program.
