Gergely Varadi

Gergely Varadi is an accomplished operations professional with extensive experience in the drilling and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Operations Optimization and Drilling Efficiency Manager at Gulf Drilling International since December 2019, Gergely manages day-to-day fleet operations for a diverse range of rigs and accommodation barges, focusing on KPI performance and operational efficiency. Previous roles include Business Development Manager at Focus Subsea, where strategic growth initiatives were developed across multiple global regions, and Regional General Manager at Lloyd's Register Energy, overseeing profit and loss as well as operational activities in APAC and ME. Gergely’s earlier positions include Assistant Rig Manager at Ocean Rig and Maersk Drilling, as well as various engineering roles at Seadrill and Nabors Drilling. Gergely holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Miskolc and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
