Salim Al-Harthy serves as the Chief Executive Officer of MB Petroleum Services LLC since October 2016 and as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of United Engineering Services LLC since June 2024. Al-Harthy is also an Advisory Board Member specializing in Entrepreneurship at Sultan Qaboos University, where contributions include guidance on transforming the university into an entrepreneurial model. In addition, Al-Harthy serves as a lecturer in Management at the same institution. As a PhD student in Management and CEO of Gulf Drilling LLC, Salim is involved in providing advanced drilling solutions within the region. Previous leadership roles include Non-Executive Board Member at Flexible Industrial Packages Co., Chairman of the Leadership in Safety Forum, and Country Manager/Operations Manager at Dalma Energy LLC. Al-Harthy's educational background includes a Master’s degree (MBA) from the University of Hull and a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, complemented by executive education at London Business School.

Gulf Drilling (GD) is a fully owned subsidiary of MB Petroleum Services, a 100% Omani company that provides advanced drilling solutions to the oil and gas industry, formed with the objective of providing quality drilling services to all its client within the country and the region. It also provides operational support in preparing well programmes, material utilization lists, drilling proposals, full logistics support including rig moving and transport of company supplied materials.
