Baqer Alghatam

Baqer Alghatam is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in data management, analytics, and payment solutions. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of IT Enterprise Data Management & Analytics at Gulf International Bank since January 2014, Baqer has held progressive roles including AVP/Lead Solution & Integration Architect and AVP/Head of System Integration & Solution Architecture. Prior to this, Baqer worked at BBK (Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait) where innovative payment solutions were developed, and significant projects such as EMV migration were successfully implemented. Baqer’s career began at ACI Worldwide where hands-on client management and troubleshooting were pivotal responsibilities. Educational credentials include a Future Leaders Programme from London Business School and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain.
