Mohamed Omar is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in tax and VAT implementation across various industries. Currently serving as Group Head of Tax & Insurance at Gulf International Bank since April 2021, Mohamed has previously held positions such as Vice President – Tax and Zakat Manager at The National Commercial Bank - AlahliNCB and Indirect Tax (VAT) Manager at EY. With a background that includes managing tax advisory services and implementing VAT solutions for major regional companies, Mohamed has demonstrated leadership and expertise in ensuring tax compliance and addressing indirect tax issues for a diverse clientele. Educational qualifications include a CPA certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of South Valley.
