Julien Balkany

Julien Balkany is a seasoned executive in the oil and gas sector, currently serving as the Chairman of the Board at Panoro Energy since October 2014 and as a Non-Executive Director at Gulf Keystone Petroleum since July 2023. As a Co-Managing Partner and Co-founder of Nanes Balkany Partners, Julien has a strong track record in pursuing active value investments in publicly traded energy companies. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director positions at BlueNord ASA and GasFrac Energy Services, and Non-Executive Vice Chairman at Toreador Resources Corp. Julien's early career involved significant financial roles, including Managing Director at Nanes Delorme Capital Management LLC, where hundreds of millions in oil and gas M&A transactions were executed. Julien Balkany holds educational qualifications from Sciences Po Strasbourg and the University of California, Berkeley.
