Claire Enterline

FishSCORE Project Manager & Research Associate at Gulf of Maine Research Institute

Claire is a marine ecologist and project manager who manages FishSCORE, a United Nations Ocean Decade Programme that will co-develop knowledge and tools for assessing and operationalizing climate resilience in diverse fisheries. Claire coordinates, facilitates, and participates in a broad range of activities to implement FishSCORE including supporting communications, facilitating on-the-ground climate-resilient fisheries projects, and contributing to implementation strategy development. Additionally, Claire supports research within the Integrated Systems Ecology Lab related to climate impacts, adaptation, and resilience, which will contribute to the overall goals of the FishSCORE program.

Claire brings a background in coastal and marine fisheries and habitat monitoring, modeling, and restoration. Her past work has encouraged climate resilience and adaptive planning within ecological systems, fisheries, and human communities in collaboration with a diverse set of partners. Her work has included developing coastal and marine habitat and fisheries health assessments, new tools using innovative technologies and methods, as well as new approaches for engaging partners and communities. Her past research and projects have specifically focused on characterizing the marine benthic environment of the Gulf of Maine, assessing blue carbon stocks, developing habitat restoration practices to fully support ecosystem health and aquatic organism passage at tidal road crossings, and river herring and rainbow smelt assessment and fishery management.
