Nick Schutte

Nick Schutte has extensive experience in energy and environmental management, currently engaged with Gulf Clean Energy Center since June 2021, focusing on GE 7FA. 05 Gas Turbine Operations. At Gulf Power Company, Nick has held the position of Production Technician 1 since 2011, overseeing the operation of turbines and boilers, and previously worked as an Environmental Chemist, managing water chemistry and compliance with environmental regulations. Prior to this, Nick served as Waste Water Treatment Operator/Manager at Regional Utilities of Walton County, where licenses progressed from Florida B to Florida A, culminating in a Plant Manager role at the Sandestin Plant. Nick holds a degree in Waste Management with a focus on Water Quality and Wastewater Treatment Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
