Gulf South Forest Products, Inc.

Gulf South Forest Products has been a leading exporter of lumber, plywood, transmission and distribution poles, railway sleepers, and logs for more than 20 years. We ship over 80 million board feet annually. We’re the beginning-to-end source, offering not only a full range of products but highly responsive service, the speediest and most accurate documentation preparation in the business, and competitive payment terms. Quality shines in everything we do. It shows in our products – we regularly inspect mills to make sure standards are maintained – and in every customer interaction. For us, the sale is just the beginning. We’re easy to work with and pride ourselves on our follow-through. One phone call gets it done, and all orders are handled professionally and efficiently by our staff of well-trained experts. We’re not just about sales; we’re about service and mutually beneficial relationships. As ocean transportation experts, we get products to our customers when they want them, not when a ship can deliver. We provide hands-on service in a 153,000-square-foot facility at the Port of Mobile. And for optimal control, we often charter ships. We take our responsibility as your partner seriously. Our fast, efficient shipping helped the U.S. Virgin Islands get their electrical grid up and running just four weeks after the devastation wrought by Hurricane Maria. After the disastrous 2010 earthquake in Haiti, we worked with aid organizations to build over 100,000 wooden shelters and brought medical containers to the island on our ships. Even the U.S. government lauds our export expertise, recognizing Gulf South with the President’s “E” Award for Exports and calling out our significant contribution to increasing U.S. exports, expanding the economy, and creating jobs. We’re a close-knit, supportive team that genuinely likes each other. And to best serve our clients, we have employees who speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
