Ziad Salem is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in computer engineering and information technology. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Gulf University for Science and Technology since September 2024, Ziad previously held the position of Senior Scientist at JOANNEUM RESEARCH from December 2018 to October 2024. Ziad's earlier career includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and an Associate Professor at American University of Nigeria, among others. Ziad also has a strong foundation in academic administration, having managed the Information Engineering Faculty as Dean at Alshahbaa University. Ziad earned a PhD in Computer Engineering from Cardiff University and holds a BSc in Automatic Control from Aleppo University.
