Michael Mims

Michael Mims has a comprehensive work experience history in compliance and legal roles. Michael started as an Associate Attorney at Hunton & Williams LLP in 2008 and later took on roles at Level Legal as Project Associate and then Project Manager/Managing Attorney. Moving forward, Michael worked at Chesapeake Energy as an Attorney, Supervising Attorney, Compliance Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel - Compliance. Their next role was at Paycom where they served as Sr. Director of Risk and Corporate Compliance. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Compliance Officer at Gulfport Energy Corporation.

Michael Mims obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. Michael then went on to earn a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2007. Michael continued their education at the same institution and completed their Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law/Taxation in 2008. Michael is also certified to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and holds a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE).
