Jun Morimoto

Jun Morimoto has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jun is currently the Head of Blockchain Tech at gumi, where they develop and provides crypto games and supports the Web3 ecosystem through investment and operating validator nodes. Additionally, they are the Head of Strategy at Kakure Soba, where they are responsible for strategic planning.

In their previous roles, Jun served as the CEO of Hyperia, where they led the development of a fully original blockchain protocol for enterprise use. Jun also worked as a Project Manager at Morgenrot, overseeing project development.

Prior to that, Jun worked as a Blockchain Developer at Minna Denki, specializing in energy tracking dApps and building a side-chain platform for P2P trading of electricity. Jun utilized a range of programming languages and technologies such as Solidity, Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript, AWS, and backend modules.

Before entering the blockchain industry, Jun founded and organized the Eastgate General Incorporated Association, where they promoted Japanese hackers on an international scale by organizing tech events like hackathons. Jun also served as an Innovation Consultant and Organization Development Consultant at Wakuha Partners, assisting organizations in driving innovation and development.

From 2009 to 2013, Jun Morimoto attended Kyoto University and obtained a degree in 土木工学 (Civil Engineering).
