Anna Baijars

Anna Baijars is a seasoned publishing professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within various cultural and publishing organizations. Currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Teosto Cultural Foundation since its establishment in January 2024, Anna has been the Publisher & Managing Director at Gummerus since January 2013, guiding one of Finland's oldest publishing houses. Past positions include Chairperson of the Board for both Kiinteistö Oy Kaapelitalo and The Finnish Institute in Paris, alongside a Board member role at The Finnish Institute in London. Previously, Anna held the position of Managing Director at WSOY, where significant business strategy developments took place. Anna's educational background includes degrees from Aalto University, Stanford University, University of Helsinki, and Université Paris III, encompassing various aspects of literature, publishing, and business management.
