Aaron counsels emerging growth and startup companies on IP and technology matters in all aspects of their businesses, from day-to-day operations to financings to M&A activities. He negotiates commercial agreements (including licensing, SaaS, enterprise services, partnership, talent, supply, referral, and reseller agreements) and advises on privacy practices and compliance, IP and technology protection, strategic alliances, pre-litigation dispute resolution, open source software, and risk management issues. The companies Aaron represents operate in a variety of industries, including social media, entertainment, fashion, consumer internet, software, and telecommunications. He also works with leading venture capital firms in their portfolio M&A transactions and financings.

Aaron regularly represents his clients in negotiating major corporate partnering deals, licensing arrangements and mergers and acquisitions with many U.S. and international companies in numerous sectors, including American Express, Apple, Atlassian, Bertelsmann, Comcast, Conde Nast, Google, eBay, Facebook, Instagram, NBC, Microsoft, Oracle, PayPal, Pinterest, Samsung, Twitter, Verizon, Walmart, Yahoo and Yelp.

Aaron is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional, the global standard certification for privacy law and compliance, and has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Intellectual Property from 2013-2017. Aaron has also served as a guest lecturer at Cornell Law School and Yale Law School. Prior to joining Gunderson Dettmer, he focused on IP litigation at a major international law firm.
