Ivan Gaviria

Ivan Gaviria is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience working with startup technology companies and the associated venture capital ecosystem. Currently a partner at Gunderson Dettmer since September 2005, Ivan specializes in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private placements, and corporate governance. Prior experience includes serving as a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where Ivan co-chaired the Emerging Companies Practice Group, and working as an attorney at Venture Law Group, which fostered a passion for the startup environment. Earlier professional experience includes a role at Farella Braun & Martel, where Ivan gained valuable insights into risk management through complex commercial litigation.
