Malcolm Nicholls

Malcolm Nicholls is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in private investment funds. Currently serving as a Partner at Gunderson Dettmer since June 2018, Malcolm previously held the position of Partner at Proskauer Rose LLP from January 2005 to June 2018, where Malcolm co-headed the Private Investment Funds Group. Prior to that, Malcolm was a Partner at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, LLP from 1996 to 2005, focusing on private investment fund formation and representing institutional investors. Malcolm’s foundational experience includes serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army from June 1984 to June 1988 as a Russian Linguist in Military Intelligence. Academically, Malcolm earned a JD from Boston University School of Law between 1991 and 1994 and a BA in Economics and Russian from the University of New Hampshire from 1988 to 1991.
