Mark Oblad

Mark Oblad is a legal and financial expert with extensive experience in corporate law and operations. Currently serving as a Partner and Of Counsel at Gunderson Dettmer since April 2019, Mark previously held roles including Head of Operations at SmartContract and VP of Legal & Finance at JW Player. As the Founder and CEO of Valcu Inc. from April 2013 to January 2017, Mark demonstrated entrepreneurial leadership. Earlier career experiences include a corporate associate at Gunderson Dettmer and an Executive Assistant at the Hinckley Institute of Politics. Mark Oblad holds a CFA designation from the CFA Institute, a JD in Corporate, Securities, and Tax from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Utah.
