Michael S. Hacker

Michael provides practical, strategic advice to high-growth technology companies and top-tier venture capital funds. His practice includes representing entrepreneurs as they form and structure new businesses, counseling companies through multiple rounds of equity and debt financing, providing guidance on intellectual property matters and executing complex M&A transactions. He regularly advises clients on a broad range of corporate matters including board governance, administration of equity incentive plans, executive compensation and employment matters. Michael also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to counseling leading venture capital, growth and private equity investors on global investment transactions, fund formation matters and partnership administration.

Michael's pro-bono work includes office hours at the Harvard i-lab and advising the Law and Entrepreneurship Project at Harvard Law School. He is also an active mentor at Year Up, an organization that seeks to empower urban young adults through professional careers and higher education.

Michael is a graduate of Middlebury College and Boston University School of Law where he was an editor of the Law Review.
