Senior Vegetation Artist at Gunzilla Games

Ilya Marechal has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Their most recent role was as a Regular Vegetation Artist at Gunzilla Games, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Vegetation Artist at the same company from April to October 2022. Before joining Gunzilla Games, Ilya was a Junior Environment Artist at Gunzilla Games, where they worked on greyboxing main areas, contributed to the R&D team, and created architecture kits and hard surface assets. They also worked as a Junior Environment Artist at Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, focusing on level art and set dressing in Unreal Engine 4 for Dead Island 2. Additionally, Ilya has experience as a Trainee 3D Environment Artist at Solar Games S.A.S., where they worked on set dressing, architectural kits, and asset creation. They also served as a Trainee 3D Generalist Artist at Enodo, specializing in architectural work, low poly modeling, and lighting and camera settings. They briefly worked as a Teacher 3D Generalist Artist at ESRA.

Ilya Marechal pursued a self-taught education in environment art for video games from 2018 to 2020. Prior to this, from 2014 to 2017, they attended ESRA and obtained a Licence degree in Infographie.
