Carlos Mendes

Carlos Mendes is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Gupy since March 2022, Carlos oversees technical leadership and functional management across Cloud, SRE, and Security domains and leads a cross-functional team. Prior roles include Tech Lead during the Gupy acquisition of Kenoby and Lead Engineer in DevX, focusing on improving developer experience and productivity. Carlos's academic background includes a PhD in Cloud Computing from Universidade de Fortaleza, along with a Master's degree in Computing Science and a Tecnologo in System Analysis and Development. Throughout a diverse career, Carlos has worked with multiple companies, including SAS Plataforma de Educação, Instituto Atlântico, and APC by Schneider Electric, gaining expertise in R&D, cloud-native platforms, and digital product development.
