Eli Towle

Eli Towle has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 with a Lead Modeler role at the UWSP Center for Athletic Scheduling. Eli then had an Engineering Intern role at Advanced Blending Solutions in 2014, followed by a Research Assistant role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2016, they were an Engineering and Research Intern at Schneider National, and in 2019 they began working at Gurobi Optimization, first as an Optimization Support Engineer, then as an Optimization Support Manager, and currently as a Senior Optimization Engineer. In these roles, Eli has answered questions about usage, modeling, and algorithms, found parameter sets that improve Gurobi's performance, moderated online webinars, presented at sponsored training events, hired and mentored new members for the North American support team, contributed to interdepartmental initiatives, and encouraged and assisted team members.

Eli Towle received their BA in Mathematics & German from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2014. Eli then went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained a Master of Science in Computer Sciences and a Master of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering in 2018. Eli completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial & Systems Engineering in 2019.
