Giedrius Slegeris

Giedrius Slegeris is currently a software engineer at Guru Systems. Giedrius has previous experience working as a PHP developer for Union Press Ltd from August 2016 to January 2019. Their responsibilities included maintenance and development of multiple high-traffic websites using pure PHP as well as WordPress, payment processing, troubleshooting and maintenance that include PayPal, Stripe & Worldpay, newsletter subscription management with APIs that include Sendy, MailChimp & iContact, familiarity and use of Bootstrap components, validating various forms of data with both PHP & jQuery, portable document generation that reflect purchase orders, invoices (PHP), front-end maintenance and development using jQuery, use, integration and development of MySQL databases, producing CSV spreadsheets via PHP as well as importing data, scripting custom web crawlers, implementing and maintaining CRON jobs, and technical correspondence to the clients.

Before working as a PHP developer, Giedrius was a barista at Pret A Manger from June 2005 to September 2016.

Giedrius Slegeris started their educational career by completing a BSc in Computing from Birkbeck, University of London. Giedrius then went on to complete an Access to Computing course also from Birkbeck, University of London. Giedrius has also completed three certifications from LinkedIn, in Laravel 5 Essential Training: 1 The Basics, Advanced PHP and Learning Composer, the PHP Dependency Manager.
