Daniel van der Lelie

Daniel van der Lelie is a distinguished scientist and entrepreneur, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer at Gusto Global LLC since 2016. A co-founder of the company, Daniel van der Lelie focuses on developing microbiome-based therapeutics and diagnostics to enhance clinical outcomes. Previously, Daniel van der Lelie held the position of Global Director of Biosolutions R&D at FMC Corporation, where efforts were directed towards sustainable agricultural biosolutions. Earlier at RTI International, Daniel van der Lelie founded the Center for Agricultural and Environmental Biotechnology, concentrating on sustainable agriculture and environmental applications. Daniel van der Lelie also served as a Senior Scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory and as a Visiting Professor at Universiteit Hasselt. Daniel van der Lelie holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Groningen and an MBA from Vlerick Business School.
