Guthrie Theater
Karl Alphonso is a seasoned production stage manager with extensive experience in theater, currently serving at Guthrie Theater since January 2022. Previous roles include stage manager at Oregon Shakespeare Festival from January 2008 to December 2021, and various stage management positions with Iowa Summer Rep in 2006 and 2007. Additionally, Karl spent four years as both stage manager and company manager at QTP in Mumbai, India, where responsibilities included various aspects of company management and administration. Academically, Karl holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Iowa, a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Mumbai, and a Bachelor's degree in Art Studies from St. Xavier's College, complemented by a certificate in Applied Project Management from Northwestern University.

Guthrie Theater
The Guthrie Theater was founded by Sir Tyrone Guthrie in 1963 and is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists. Under the artistic leadership of Joseph Haj, the Guthrie produces a mix of classic and contemporary plays on three stages, and continues to set a national standard for excellence in theatrical production and performance.
