Kay McGuire is an accomplished retail and merchandising professional with extensive experience in cultural institutions. Since 2007, Kay has served as the Director of Retail and Merchandising at Guthrie Theater Store, overseeing retail operations and strategy. Prior to this role, Kay was the Museum Store Manager at both the University of Minnesota from 1992 to 2007 and Walker Art Center from 1989 to 1992, demonstrating a strong background in museum retail environments. Kay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Economics from St. Catherine University, earned between 1979 and 1983.

Guthrie Theater
The Guthrie Theater was founded by Sir Tyrone Guthrie in 1963 and is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists. Under the artistic leadership of Joseph Haj, the Guthrie produces a mix of classic and contemporary plays on three stages, and continues to set a national standard for excellence in theatrical production and performance.
