Matthew Koch is an experienced audio engineer and sound designer with a diverse background in live sound and event production. Currently serving as a Sound Board Operator/Audio Engineer at Guthrie Theater since September 2016, Matthew operates the Stagetec Aurus mixing console and manages sound systems for live performances. Additionally, as a Stagehand/Audio Engineer for IATSE Local 13, Matthew contributes expertise in audio and lighting setups for various events. A self-employed audio engineer since 1996, Matthew has also held significant positions at various venues such as Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center and STAGES St. Louis, showcasing proficiency in audio engineering, supervisory roles, and cross-training in related fields. Education includes studies at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 1989 to 1991.

Guthrie Theater
The Guthrie Theater was founded by Sir Tyrone Guthrie in 1963 and is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists. Under the artistic leadership of Joseph Haj, the Guthrie produces a mix of classic and contemporary plays on three stages, and continues to set a national standard for excellence in theatrical production and performance.
