Paul Estby has extensive experience in the audio engineering and sound design fields, serving as a Production Sound Engineer at Guthrie Theater since July 2000 and as a Resident Sound Designer at Lyric Arts Company of Anoka since May 2016. With a career that began in 1990, Paul has worked independently as an audio engineer and consultant, catering to a diverse range of clients from bar bands to national theater centers. In addition to roles at IATSE Local 13 as a stagehand and freelancing in audio editing and mastering with Sourcebooks, Paul co-owned and served as Vice President of Audio Rental Group, which specialized in high-end audio gear rental for theaters. Previous positions include A1 at LCP Concert Productions and Sound Technician at Indiana Repertory Theatre. Paul received education from Ball State University, graduating between 1992 and 1996.

Guthrie Theater

The Guthrie Theater was founded by Sir Tyrone Guthrie in 1963 and is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists.
