Amit Parmar

Amit Parmar has extensive work experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Amit started their career in 2001 at XL Group, working as an Actuary until 2008. Amit then joined XL Re Latin America as the Lead Actuary for Latin America, specializing in reinsurance pricing and modeling. In 2010, they joined Guy Carpenter as a Senior Actuary, leading the London analytics team and overseeing analytical output in the UK, South Africa, and MENA regions. Amit was promoted to Managing Director in 2017, where they continue to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the team and long-term planning and strategy in the analytics segment at Guy Carpenter.

Amit Parmar attended Watford Grammar from 1990 to 1997 and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Finance from Brunel University London from 1997 to 2001. From 2002 to 2009, they studied Actuarial Science at the Institute of Actuaries, and in 2013 they also attended the same institute, although the exact degree or field of study is not specified.
