Chengyou Xiao

Chengyou Xiao has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Chengyou started their career in 1995 as an Associate Professor at East China Normal University, where they taught numerical modeling to graduate and doctoral students. From 2001 to 2008, they worked as a Research Scientist at Florida International University, conducting research on storm-surge models and developing a next-generation high-resolution model. Since 2008, they have been working at Guy Carpenter as a Senior Vice President, leading the transition to big data and cloud solutions and managing the portfolio management group. Chengyou is also an inventor and algorithm owner of several major tools, including the industry-awarded CWIL® product.

Chengyou Xiao obtained a PhD in Physical Geography from East China Normal University, graduating between 1992 and 1995.
