Karim Faris

Karim Faris is a General Partner at GV, a role they have held since April 2010. Prior to joining GV, they were a member of the Corporate Development team at Google from July 2008 to April 2010, where they identified and executed acquisitions and strategic investments. Before joining Google, Karim was a Principal at Atlas Venture from July 2002 to January 2007, where they led all aspects of tech and tech enabled services investing for $2B venture capital firm. Karim has also held positions as Director, New Ventures at Level 3 Communications from June 1999 to June 2002, and as an Associate at Morgan Stanley from May 1998 to September 1998 and Generation Partners from May 1997 to September 1997.

Karim Faris has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a Sc.B. in Computer Engineering & Business Economics from Brown University.

They work with Erik Nordlander - Engineering Partner, Kate Aronowitz - Lead Operations Partner, and M.G. Siegler - General Partner. Their manager is David Krane, CEO & Managing Partner.
