Richard Knight has been in the tech industry for over 30 years. Richard began their career in 1988 as a Development Engineer at KEF Electronics Ltd, where they designed loudspeakers and developed a speaker coil specification application. In 1989, they became Managing Director at Marine Audio & Acoustic Consulting Ltd. In 1990, they held multiple roles at Churchill Software Ltd as a Product Manager, Business Development Manager, and Consultant. Richard was also Chief Technology Officer at Caddie Westerham Ltd, responsible for product design, project management, production strategy, and business planning. From 1993 to 1995, they worked at Metapraxis Ltd as a Senior Consultant, developing and managing Notes and EIS/MIS projects. Richard then became Project Manager and Lead Developer at NatWest Markets (Investment Bank) for a Notes-based Global Client Relationship Management system. From 1997 to 2001, they were Principal Consultant and Notes Development Manager at Regards Systems Integrators, LLC, where they developed a Management Report Distribution application and a Help Desk application. Richard then became Chief Technology Officer at LeadMinder, where they were the Lead Developer and Product Manager of a SaaS automated sales support application. From 2002 to 2018, they were Principal Consultant, Application Development at CITENT, INC, where they were Product Manager for AppBuilder, a SaaS Google Cloud Platform development offering, and Technical Project Manager and Business Analyst for an application migration from Lotus Notes to a custom development framework on Google Cloud Platform. Most recently, they have been Director of Product Offerings at GW Apps since 2018.

Richard Knight obtained a BSc Special Engineerign Program from Brunel University and Henley Management College between 1984 and 1988, majoring in Engineering and Management. Richard then went on to obtain a Masters of Engineering from the same institution between 1991 and 1992, again majoring in Engineering and Management. In 2017, they completed the Google Cloud Platform for Systems Operations Professionals Specialization course through Coursera.
