Jerrod Callanta

Jerrod Callanta has a diverse work experience in electrical engineering. Jerrod started their career as a Summer Intern at Switchboard Apparatus, Inc in 2012, where they were responsible for managing a project to design an engineering standard for drawing and designing parts. Jerrod also modified AutoCAD files and created an inventory matrix.

In 2013, Callanta joined G&W Electric Co. as a Switchgear Research & Development EE Intern. Jerrod built a prototype phase-phase voltage calculation electronic device and tested new cost-efficient devices. Jerrod worked with a team of engineers to analyze and troubleshoot returned customer equipment. Callanta also conducted high voltage tests and was responsible for leading department safety meetings.

Callanta then worked as an Associate Electrical Engineer at Sargent & Lundy from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, they returned to G&W Electric Co. as a Switchgear Design Electrical Engineer, where they currently hold the position without a specified end date.

Jerrod Callanta attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
