Volker Wenzel

Volker Wenzel has extensive experience in IT management and infrastructure, currently serving as IT Leitung and IT-Administrator at GWG-Gruppe since July 2022. Prior to this, Wenzel worked at GEHE Pharma Handel GmbH from April 2015 to June 2022 as an Infrastructure Specialist, leading national projects including the implementation of O365 and managing backup systems with IBM Spectrum Protect. Wenzel's earlier roles at GEHE Informatik Services GmbH encompassed various positions including Infrastructure Specialist, Koordinator Technische Projekte, and Produkt Integrations Manager, where responsibilities included project leadership in data warehousing and IT archiving solutions. Wenzel also served as Servicemanager at Celesio AG, providing support for local IT operations. Wenzel's career began in 1998 as a Berater und Anwendungsentwickler at GEHE Informatik Services GmbH. Wenzel holds a Diplom-Informatiker (FH) in Wirtschaftsinformatik from HTWG Hochschule Konstanz and a degree in Verwaltungsfachangestellter from Bundesanstalt für Arbeit.
