Melanie Wilson

Melanie Wilson is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in government law. Currently serving as Senior Assistant County Attorney for Gwinnett County since November 2017, Melanie previously held the position of Clerk of Court for the State and Magistrate Courts of DeKalb County from July 2009 to November 2017, overseeing all business processes and staff supporting urban trial and small claims courts. Prior to that, Melanie worked as Assistant County Attorney and Senior Assistant County Attorney for DeKalb County Government from July 1998 to December 2008, focusing on civil litigation concerning planning, zoning, voter registration, and elections, while also providing legal counsel and drafting ordinances. Melanie's academic credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Westminster.
