Michael Carr

Michael Carr serves as the Assistant Chief Deputy at Gwinnett County Sheriff Office, a position held since January 2021, which includes responsibilities in the Support Operations Division, community outreach, technical services, support services, and facilities maintenance. Prior to this role, Michael accumulated over 21 years of experience with Gwinnett County, rising to the rank of Police Sergeant. Michael began a law enforcement career as a Patrolman with the City of Atlanta Police Department from September 1992 to July 1997. Michael holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University.
