P.eng. Ramez Ragai

Ramez Ragai, P.Eng., CEM has over 30 years of work experience in engineering and technical services. Ramez is currently the Senior Director of Technical Services at GWL Realty Advisors, where they oversee technical services for multiple commercial high-end buildings in Toronto, North York, and Mississauga. In addition, they are responsible for energy management, MEP capital projects, and providing technical assistance to the operations team. Prior to this, Ramez served as the Corporate Director of Engineering for Delta Hotels & Resorts, where they developed MEP and life safety brand standards and supported property engineering operations. Ramez has also held the position of Director of Engineering at the Trump International and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. At The Ritz-Carlton, they served as the Area Director of Engineering for Europe and the Middle East, overseeing multiple properties and managing teams of engineers and technicians. Before that, Ramez worked as the Chief Engineer at Hilton Worldwide, where they were responsible for project management and maintenance in various Hilton properties. Ramez also has experience as the Chief Engineer at Turin Hotels International and Club Marco Polo. Ramez holds a professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) and is a certified energy manager (CEM).

Ramez Ragai, P.Eng., CEM has a diverse educational background. Ramez obtained a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) degree from The University of Georgia in 2003, specializing in Energy Management. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from Alexandria University, with a focus on ship design and construction, from 1986 to 1991. Ramez also holds an International English Language Testing System Certificate from The IELTS TOEFL Centre in 2009, which honed their English language skills for business and engineering purposes. Before their university studies, they completed their high school education at Le College Saint Marc, Alexandrie, receiving a High School Diploma in 1986. Additionally, Ramez obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge in 1983, demonstrating their proficiency in the English language.

In terms of certifications, Ramez Ragai has an extensive list of qualifications. In 2020, they obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) license from Professional Engineers Ontario. Ramez also holds a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential from the Association of Energy Engineers, acquired in 2003.
