Lily Nyawira Gutu is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operational excellence, program implementation, and strategic consulting across various sectors. Currently serving as the Group Director of Operational Excellence at the African Management Institute, Lily drives initiatives in system optimization and IT infrastructure management, having previously established the Program Management function and led a diverse team of project managers across Africa. Lily's career began in engineering, progressing through roles at notable organizations such as KPMG East Africa and HEFDC Group, where expertise in risk management and business process improvement was honed. Additionally, Lily contributes as a mentor for the Women in Renewable Energy in Africa initiative and an advisor for the Private Financing Advisory Network, focusing on enhancing entrepreneurial finance and promoting gender diversity in leadership roles. Lily holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nairobi.
