Cynthia Gayton

Cynthia Gayton serves as Corporate Counsel at SCS Engineers since February 2023 and is a Lecturer in Civil and Engineering Management at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering since May 2023. With a long-standing association with The George Washington University dating back to 2003, Cynthia has held various positions including Professorial Lecturer and Adjunct Professor specializing in Engineering Law and Management. As the attorney at Gayton Law since August 2012, Cynthia focuses on transactional law and business consulting. Additionally, Cynthia has contributed as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems, volunteered as an attorney for Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, and served on the board of Harpers Ferry Park Association. Cynthia holds a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University.
