David Karpf

David Karpf is an academic with a focus on Strategic Communication and political communication, currently serving as an Associate Professor at The George Washington University since August 2012, after initially holding the position of Assistant Professor. Prior to this role, Karpf was an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University and has also held various fellowships and associate positions at institutions including the Yale Information Society Project and the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Karpf's earlier academic experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University and a Doctoral degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where academic pursuits were complemented by leadership in organizations such as the Sierra Club and the Sierra Student Coalition. Karpf received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Oberlin College.
