John E. Bischoff III

Adjunct Professor: Cybersecurity at George Washington University

John E. Bischoff III, D.Eng. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency management, cybersecurity, and higher education. Currently serving as Vice President and Executive Director of the Missing Children Division at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children since 2010, John has also held significant roles in emergency communications and adjunct faculty positions at The George Washington University and George Mason University. A long-time life member and former Assistant Fire Chief at Sterling Volunteer Fire Company, John has held various leadership positions within the fire service. Previous roles include Battalion Chief at New Kent County Fire-Rescue and Program Specialist at FEMA, where John supported mass care and emergency assistance initiatives. Academically, John holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in Engineering Management, an MBA, and a BA in Business Management & Information Systems from Shenandoah University, supplemented by earlier studies in Administration of Justice.
