Stacey Nelson

Part Time Faculty

Stacey Nelson is an experienced art therapist with a career spanning over two decades in various therapeutic settings. Currently serving as an art therapist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute since December 2011, Stacey specializes in working with autistic students aged 8-21. Additionally, Stacey holds a part-time faculty position in the Art Therapy Department at George Washington University. Previous roles include full-time art therapist at Adventist HealthCare and clinical supervisor/principal therapist at Seven Counties Services, where Stacey managed outpatient crisis intervention programs. Stacey's educational background includes a Post Masters Certificate in Clinical Community Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master’s degree in Expressive Therapies from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Studio Arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
