Niels Overgaard

Niels Overgaard has a diverse work experience spanning various industries, including publishing, banking, and communications. Niels is currently working as a Public Speaker at Athenas, delivering lectures on various topics. In addition, they are a Writer, columnist, and advisor, having worked for companies such as Berlingske and as a self-employed writer and communications advisor. Niels also held leadership positions at Gyldendal, where they served as Head of Group Strategy & Communications, Head of Media & Group Communications, and Head of Group Communications. Prior to this, they were the Head of Group Sustainability and Head of Communications at PFA, the largest pension company in Denmark. Niels also has experience in the banking sector, having worked as the Head of Communications, Corporates & Institutions at Danske Bank. Earlier in their career, Niels worked as a Senior Associate at Burson-Marsteller and held various roles at Ritzaus Bureau, including Deputy Editor of the Financial Desk and Financial Reporter. Additionally, they co-founded NYE Visioner, where they served as an Associated Partner & Chief Trainer and authored a book. Niels Overgaard earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, completing their studies from 2005 to 2009. Niels also obtained a certification called "On Strategy: What Managers Can Learn from Philosophy - PART 1" from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2014.
