Michael Shaw has been with GZA for over 30 years and is a Senior Principal and Senior Vice President. He currently serves as a project principal in our Fort Washington, Pennsylvania office and as a technical co-lead of GZA’s Environmental Site Investigation Practice. He is a current GZA Board member, and previously managed the Norwood, Massachusetts Office and was GZA’s Professional Practice Committee Chair.
His areas of specialization include environmental investigation, site remediation (soil, sediment, soil vapor and groundwater), construction dewatering and groundwater modeling. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Systems/Water Resources (Civil Engineering Dept.) from Princeton University and his Master of Science degree in Water Resources (Civil Engineering Dept.) from Stanford University.
His professional activities include memberships in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists, National Ground Water Association, and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.
