Mark Murrin

Mark Murrin is the SVP of Business Development at H Code. Prior to their current role, Mark was with Watsi, a nonprofit organization that helps fund low-cost, high-impact medical treatments. Mark was part of the founding team and led medical partner operations, which successfully funded 50 different patient treatments. Watsi was admitted as the first ever non-profit in the Y Combinator start-up incubator and has raised over $2,000,000 to date.

Before their time at Watsi, Mark served as an Economic Development Advisor for the Peace Corps in a rural island fishing community. Their projects there focused on microfinance, rural tourism development, entrepreneurship, technology education, and youth sport development.

Mark has also held the role of Director of Business Development at Rhythm NewMedia, a blinkx group. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's sales and business development efforts.

Mark Murrin has a BA in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley.
