Nick Stark

Executive Vice President at H.H. Angus & Associates

Nick is recognized throughout the industry as a leader in the design of leading edge buildings. Over 40+ years at HH Angus, he has pioneered many innovative and sustainable initiatives as solutions to difficult challenges faced by our clients. Nick’s technical expertise also benefits our staff as he directs HH Angus’ Knowledge Management initiatives, ensuring the firm’s skillsets continue to lead the industry. In 2017, he was awarded the PEO/OSPE Medal for Engineering Excellence for his outstanding contributions to the profession.

Nick spearheads the design and management of HH Angus’ P3 hospital projects. He served as the firm’s Principal-in-Charge for the massive $2 billion+ CHUM P3 project in Montreal. His team’s work on the project was honoured with the 2018 Schreyer Award, Canada’s highest honor for engineering.

Nick continues to help shape standards and codes in Canada through his participation on the CSA Technical Committee on Health Care Facilities. For two decades, he has been chairing the CSA Subcommittee on Special Requirements for HVAC Systems in Health Care Facilities, and is also a vice-chair of Z8000, Health Care Facilities.

Nick enjoys exploring, whether it's the back bays of Georgian Bay in a kayak, the back roads of Ontario on his bike, skiing, or traveling somewhere new on the other side of the world. And when he is in one place, you might find him building something, probably out of wood.
