Richard Stokes

Ricky is the Head of the U.S. Lower Middle Market Private Equity Fund, overseeing all of the day-to-day investing and portfolio management activities of H.I.G. Capital Partners VI, L.P. and its active predecessor funds.

Prior to that, he spent ten years as a Managing Director leading investments across a wide range of industries including industrial, consumer products, business services, and technology. With over 20 years of experience in middle market private equity, he is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, and execution of post-closing growth and operational strategies. Ricky currently serves on the boards of several H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2000, Ricky was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Salomon Smith Barney.

Ricky earned his undergraduate degree as a dual major in Economics and Government from Cornell University.
