Mark Birch

Mark Birch has a vast experience spanning several companies and roles. Mark is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at H. J. Russell & Company since August 2023. Previously, they held the same position at Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Inc. from April 2006 to May 2023. Mark also served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at Balfour Beatty US from September 2016 to March 2018. Before that, Mark Birch worked as the Group Financial Controller at Balfour Beatty, LLC from March 2004 to April 2006 and as the Finance Director at Balfour Beatty Management, Ltd from April 2003 to March 2004. Mark began their career as a Graduate Management Trainee at New Holland CE - CNH - Fiat Industrial from October 1990 to April 1994, after which they served as the Operations Manager at Fii Group plc - Textile Manufacturing from April 1994 to August 1997. Mark then worked as the Regional Financial Controller at Balfour Beatty Rail, Ltd from August 1997 to April 2003.

Mark Birch completed their education at Haberdashers' Boys' School from 1980 to 1987. Mark then attended the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1990, where they pursued a degree in History with Economic & Social History. Later, from 1999 to 2002, Mark attended Henley Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
